Tuesday, May 20th, 2008
A blistering knock by Virender Sehwag (47) and his 90-run first wicket stand with Gautam Gambhir (39) enabled Delhi Daredevils to coast to a 5-wicket win over Bangalore Royal Challengers in an Indian Premier League tie at Bangalore on Monday.
Chasing 155 for victory, the Daredevils reached 158 for 5 for their sixth win to keep them in the reckoning for a semifinal berth.
After being asked to bat first, Bangalore Royal Challengers continued their dismal performance to post a modest 154 for 7, thanks to the knocks of Sreevats Goswami (52) and Misbah-ul-Haq (47).
