
2nd Test: New Zealand 351 for 4
Winning the toss, New Zealand elected to bat first in the second test against India at McLean Park, Napier.
New Zealand started their innings disastrously losing 3 wickets for 23. Zaheer scalped 2 wickets and Ishant Sharma took one.
Then, Taylor and Ryder studied the NZ innings with a 271 run partnership. Taylor scored 151 before he was caught by Yuvraj Singh to a stroke played to a ball bowled by Harbhajan Singh.
At the draw of stumps on the first day, New Zealand were 351 for the loss of 4 wickets with the unbeaten batsmen Ryder ( 137 not out) and Franklin (26 not out) at the crease.
