Tata Nano exits West Bengal, enters Gujarath

With the continued agitation led by Mamatha Banerjee against the Nano car project, Tata finally decided to leave West Bengal. The project will be relocated in Gujarath.

Sanand, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, will be Nano’s new home. A MoU to this effect was signed between the Gujarat government and Tata Motors in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

The plant will be set up in Sanand over 1,100 acres of land acquired by the state from Gujarat Agricultural University. A vendor park will also be set up there.
