Pakistan worried about Indian adventurism
In Pakistan the political leadership has gone into overdrive to clear its name after India linked it to the terror attack in Mumbai. The Pakistan PM called for an all political party meeting in Islamabad.
According to sources, Pakistan High Commissioner to India Shahid Malik summoned by Ministry of External Affairs and served with a demarche.
Fearing a backlash similar to the one seen after the 9/11 bombings in the US, Pakistan initiated political and diplomatic activities to contain the fallout of the Mumbai carnage on Pakistan-India relations.
Top Pakistani politicians and the spokesperson for the ISI have pledged support to the political leadership and warning India against adventurism.
