India and US sign 123 N-Deal agreement

Indian external Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Friday signed the 123 nuclear deal agreement at a ceremony held in the Benjamin Franklin Room of the State Department.

This concludes the process initiated on July 18, 2005 in Washington by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George W Bush.

With the signing of this agreement, the civilian nuclear cooperation between India and the US gets operationalised.
