Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India and President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia, who is on a three-day official state visit to India, signed an agreement on civil nuclear cooperation which is described as a new milestone in Indo-Russian bilateral relations.
Under the agreement, Russia will build four additional atomic reactors in the Koodankulam nuclear plant in Tamil Nadu. Besides signing a joint declaration, India and Russia also signed ten agreements on cooperation in various subjects including tourism and space.
