Barack Obama chooses Joseph Biden as Vice President

According to US television channel reports, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has chosen Senator Joseph Biden, as his vice presidential running mate.

The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden brings decades of national security experience to the Democratic ticket, having first been elected to Congress at the age of 29 in 1972.
