Amar Singh to meet Chiranjeevi on Sunday
Saturday, September 6th, 2008
Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Amar Singh, accompanied by MPs Jaya Bachchan and Jayaprada, will meet actor-turned-politician and president of Praja Rajyam Chiranjeevi at his office on Sunday.
Though this meeting is described as a courtesy call, it assumes significance in the light of mass exodus from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) into Praja Rajyam Party (PRP). The TDP and SP were until recently in the forefront of the Third Front.
The initiative for this meeting is believed to have been taken by Jayaprada, who was a former heroine of Tollywood.
