Vidya Balan will play the central character in The Dirty Picture which is based on the life and times of yesteryears star Silk Smitha. This film is being produced by Ekta Kapoor under her banner Balaji Films and directed by Milan Luthria. Emraan Hashmi has been roped in to play the male lead which will have grey shades.
