
ICC bans Gautam Gambhir for one test
After Gautam Gambhir pleaded guilty to using physical contact with the Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, ICC match referee Chris Broad handed Indian opener Gautam Gambhir a one Test ban.
Gambhir, who scored 206 in India’s first innings was found guilty under the Level 2 offence of ICC Code of Conduct.
Earlier, Shane Watson was fined 10 per cent of his match fee for verbally engaging with Gambhir in a manner that was not in keeping the Spirit of Cricket.
