
Sachin Tendulkar cracks 42nd test century
In the first test between India and New Zealand being played at Seddon Park, Hamilton, India took a firm grip on the proceedings. Resuming their overnight score of 278 for 4, India were all out in their first innings for 520 runs.
Sachin Tendulkar played a marathon innings and scored 160 in 400 minutes, playing 260 balls with 26 boundaries. This is his 42nd test century.
New Zealand made 75 for 3 in reply.
