According to reliable sources, Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K. Chandrasekhar Rao have spoken over telephone late on Sunday night.
TRS sources said they spoke for a few minutes. The report instantly touched off speculation of a possible tie-up between the two parties. TDP MP-elect from Warangal, E. Dayakar Rao, had recently dropped enough hints on such an alliance.
The reported conversation assumes significance in the context of many senior TDP leaders leaving the party.
