K Chandrasekhar Best Cartoonist for 2006

The Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh has announced the awards for journalists for the years 2004, 05, 06 and 07. The Academy also introduced Venkateswar Rao Narla Lifetime Achievement for these years.

The lifetime achievement was awarded to Potturi Venkateswar Rao (2004), GS Varadachari (2005), I VEnkat Rao (2006) and K Srinivasa Reddy (2007).

K Chandrasekhar Rao, who hails from Suryapet in Nalgonda district and works as political cartoonist in Andhra Jyothi daily newspaper, has been adjudged the best cartoonist for the year 2006. His award consists of a certificate and a cash award of Rs 1 Lakh.
