Singh is Kinng breaks box office record

According to reports from Bollywood trade circles, Singh is Kinng , starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, directed by Anees Bazmi, has a tremendous opening in theatres in India.

The collections totalled to Rs 8 crores on the first day and the weekend collections are projected to be around Rs 45 crores. If the film achieves this feat, then it will be a box office record.

The highest first week collections for a Hindi film till date is for the Shah Rukh Khan Deepika Padukone starrer Om Shanti Om which earned Rs 37 crores.
