The Synopsis

In spite of average academic career, Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) dreams of entering the lucrative field of sales. His first costumer is a girl (Shazahn Padamsee) with whom he becomes friendly. He joins a computer marketing company where he gets hell from his boss Puri (Mukesh Bhatt).

Vexed with the office politics, Harpreet gets a brainwave with a criminal shade and ropes in receptionist Koena (Gauhar Khan), a computer techie, the marketing manager and the office boy to carry out his plan.

The rest of the story deals with how Harpreet implements his idea and what happens to his boss and the company he works for.

The Performances

Ranbir Kapoor comes out with another outstanding performance in this film after Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Azhab Kahani. The range of his talents is simply amazing. Debutante Shazahn Padamsee has not much of a scope to showcase her acting because of the limitations of her role. Gauhar Khan and Mukesh Bhatt are impressive. D Santosh and Naveen Kaushik are very good. Prem Chopra is effective.

The Techniques

A very well written story by Jaideep Sahni has been made into a very absorbing film by director Shimit Amin. The screenplay is good. The comic incidents and the office politics are quite lively. Music by Salim-Sulaiman is pleasing. Cinematography by Vikash Nowlakha Anshum is vey good.

The Verdict
Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year offers a good cinematic experience with Ranbir Kapoor giving an outstanding and exceptional performance.
This film will be lapped up by multiplex audience and the single screen viewers have plenty in the film to have a pleasant watch.
