NTR Jr in “Patala Bhairavi” remake
Tollywood, reeling under the impact of lack of good scripts, is resorting to remakes of old classics such as “Pandu Rangadu” and “Maro Charithra”.
According to Film Nagar sources, “Patala Bhairavi” ,which starred Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR Sr), S. V. Ranga Rao, Malathi K, Girija , Relangi and others, will be remade with NTR Jr in the lead role. C Kalyan is planning to remake this old classic
“Patala Bhairavi” was produced by Vijaya Pictures in 1951. It is directed by Kadri Venkata Reddy and Kamalakara Kameshwara Rao, who also gave the screen adaptation. Pingali Nagendra Rao wrote dialogues and song lyrics. This movie is based on a story from Kasi Majilee Kathalu, written by Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu.
