Nana Patekar in English film The Pool

The most consummate thespian of Indian cinema has played a charater role in an English film. titled The Pool which had been directed by Hollywood’s Chris Smith, who made films like American Movie and The Yes Men.

The Pool deals with the story of an 18-year-old boy, who ekes out a living working in a hotel and selling plastic bags. After he befriends the head of a household played by Nana Patekar, he begins to assertively set his sights on a more comfortable way of life. The boy even falls in love with Nana’s daughter played by Ayesha.

The Pool, which has received some rave reviews from international critics, is expected to release across theatres in US this September in English and in Hindi with English subtitles.
