Masth Movie Review
The Film
Masth hands out an unbelievably idiotic story with contrived situations and unconvincing characters.

The Synopsis
Shivaji, Srinivas Reddy and Ali are tenants in the house of Brahmanandam. Shivaji, a wannabe model, loses his sight. Srinivas Reddy is an aspiring singer and he loses his voice. They communicate only through the mediator Ali.
The heroine Aanchal enters their life and even shares their rented accommodation. Shiva Balaji is the love interst of the heroine. No one knows the real purpose of her arrival. The story gropes around with unconnected characters to reveal the truth about her.
The Performances

Masth Movie Review
All the actors in this film have just gone through their motions as there was no occasion, script-wise, to do some acting. Moreover, with no clear cut roles, all the actors appear less focused and squirm as if going through a bad patch.
The Techniques
An interesting point is the story of Masth has no characters at all…only hastily scribbled caricatures. The scenes grow like a wild growth without any order or cohesion. The entire narration is poorly visualized and badly executed. The dialogues and lyrics are insipid. The songs are more a detraction
than anything else. All technical values are below par.
The Verdict
SV Krishna Reddy had a name as a good family drama director with films like Vinodam, Ghatotkachudu, Shubhalagnam and others. His previous film Bahumathi and the present one Masth are very clear and unmistakable indication that it is time for SVK to honourably retire from film making rather than tire the audience endlessly with insipid fare.

Masth Movie Review
Masth is a colossal waste of resources, time and money.
