Mahabharat connect to Raajneeti
Raajneeti won with thumping majority at the box-office by recording the second biggest opening after 3idiots.
The film was produced with around Rs 45 crore and distributed with over 2,100 prints worldwide. Prakash Jha said that the movie is actually a modern re-telling of the Mahabharata, dismissing the allegations that Katrina’s character having a resemblance to Congress party Chief Sonia Gandhi.
You can discover a modern-day Yudhishthir in Arjun Rampal (Prithviraj Pratap) an Arjuna in Ranbir Kapoor, a Krishna in Nan Patekar, a Duryodhana in Manoj Bajpayee and a Karna in Ajay Devgan.
Manoj Bajpayee’s Raajneeti look was inspired by Chiranjeevi in the film Indra.
Like Karna in Mahabharat, Suraj Kumar (Ajay Devgan) was born before his mother’s marriage. Nana Patekar the modern Krishna was named Brij Gopal.
There is a saying in Telugu “thinte gaarele thinaali, vinte bharathame vinaali”. Now, we can add chooste ‘Raajneeti’ cinemaane choodali. At the moment, the film is rocking at the box-office.
