Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai Movie Review

The Film

Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai is a film which tried to do a soulful romance and finally does a risqué reporter of comic antics. Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. Here the man is from Earth and the woman is from venus.

The Synopsis

Rajesh (Riteish Deshmukh) and Kaushal (Vishal Malhotra) are best friends and they envy a film celebrity (Ruslaan Mumtaz) Both Rajesh and Kaushal suffer from lack of self confidence and a bit of inferiority complex. They do search for love and never find it. Kaushal is a sex feind and always watches a porn video The Pink Pussycat. Then Lara (Jacqueline Fernandez), an alien from Venus, lands on earth in search of true love. What Rajesh, Kaushal and Lara do to discover true love forms the rest of the story.

The Performances

Riteish Deshmukh gives a truly memorable performance and so does Vishal Malhotra and Ruslaan Mumtaz. The Venus girl Jacqueline Fernandez is petite, pretty and pleasing. Sonal Sehgal and Farah Khan in a cameo are interesting. Satish Shah is his usual self. All others just go through their motions.

The Techniques

The premise of the story is good, but the treatment and screenplay are sloppy and silly. What could have been a good satire or a black comedy has been carelessly handled to give out an average flick. Technically the film is well made but without substance and a gripping narration, what is the use of technical brilliance?
