Hollywood’s top 10 actresses earn $244.5 million

According to media reports, Hollywood’s top 10 actresses have together earned a remuneration of $244.5 million between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008.

Cameron Diaz takes the top spot with earnings of around $50 million to take the title of Hollywood’s top-earning actress on Forbes annual list. She acted in Shrek 3 & 4, What Happens in Vegas and the screen adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s best-selling novel My Sister’s Keeper.

British actress Keira Knightley, who acted in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and Atonement earned $32 million. Jennifer Aniston starred in Marley & Me and He’s Just Not That Into You and earned $27 million. She also gained from syndication of TV serial Friends and TV Ad endorsements.

Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow tied for fourth place on the list, with each earning around $25 million.

The other actresses in the Forbes annual top ten list were Jodie Foster, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Angelina Jolie.

Among the actors, Will Smith was the top earner with $80 million, Johnny Depp with $72 million and Eddie Murphy with $55 million.
