Paramount Pictures’ Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the most anticipated film of this summer, has taken in an estimated $311 million in worldwide box office returns over the long Memorial Day weekend.
The latest installment of Steven Spielberg’s action-adventure series made 151 million dollars from Thursday to the holiday Monday in North America and 160 million dollars in 56 overseas markets.
The fourth Indiana Jones film, starring the 65-year-old Harrison Ford, has opened at the top spot in all major markets since it was released Thursday worldwide.
