Bumper Offer is another mandatory mass masala film with contrived situations and clustered narration with the theme of poor boy and rich girl falling in love.

The Synopsis

Surya Prakash (Sayaji Shinde) is a big time real estate magnate and one of his small time employees (Chandra Mohan) leads a lower middle class life. His son Sai (Sairam Shankar) works as a mechanic.

Through a conspiracy of circumstances, Sai falls in love with Aishwarya (Bindu Madhavi), daughter of Surya Prakash, who also responds positively.

Surya Prakash puts out a demand that if Sai can earn half his wealth he would gladly offer his daughter to him in marriage. Sai vows to pull down Surya Prakash to his lower middle class level and then marry Aishwarya.

The rest of the story deals with the mutual challenges of Sai and Surya Prakash.

The Performances

Sairam Shankar in spite of his makeover looks is not impressive. Bindu Madhavi comes out with some energetic performance. Sayaji Shinde is polished.

Chandra Mohan is his usual self. Kovai Sarala is good in her role. Ali and Venu Madhav are routine. All others just go through their motions.

The Techniques

The film suffers from a lack of depth in the story and the narration is quite sloppy at times. Though the film is packaged well, inadequate screenplay plays the spoil sport. The only saving grace is the music by Raghu Kunche. Cinematography and editing are just about average.

The Verdict

Bumper Offer is like any other bumper offers made by FMCG retailers on festive occasions. No one knows who actually won the bumper offer in the draw.

Sairam Shankar has come out with a series of flops before and Bumper Offer does not look like giving him a break.
