Amitabh and Tabu in historical film

Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu made history by acting in passionate roles in Cheeni Kum. These two are now coming together to play as Emperor Ashoka and his Queen Tishyarakshita in The Legend of Kunal, a historical film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by AB Corp Ltd.

Originally, Jaya Bachchan was considered to play the role of the queen, but finally Tabu was signed on as she would fit the arrogant queen’s character, who was reputed to have pulled down the mighty Mauryan empire.
