The Film
All The Best is a very funny comedy based on lies, true lies and mistaken identities and provides laughter unlimited.
The Synopsis
Dharam (Sanjay Dutt) is a rich businessman. His younger brother Veer (Fardden Khan) wants to become a singer and is in love with Vidya (Mugdha Godse). He also has a best friend Prem (Ajay Devgan) who is married to Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu).
Veer and Prem are always in need of money and always mull over get-rich-fast plans. They go to Dharam and Veer tells his brother that he got married to Vidya and needs money to maintain the family until he is able to earn as a professional singer. Dharam gives his brother the required money.
Suddenly, Dharam decides to go to Veer’s house to see how his brother’s married life is going on. He mistakes Jhanvi as Veer’s wife and Vidya as Prem’s wife.
From then on it is laughter and more laughter until the truth is known.
The Performances
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan have given splendid performances and their comic timing is perfect. Fardeen Khan is getting used to funny characters. Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse are both glamorous and come out with convincing performances. Johny Lever and Sanjay Mishra are fantastic in their comic roles. Mukesh Tiwari and Vijay Patkar are adequate. Ashwini Kalsekar and Atul Parchure fit their roles.
The Techniques
Director Rohir Shetty once again comes out with a winning rib-tickler and he strings the funny events with considerable skill. Script writers Robin and Yunus have created believable incidents and credible characters. Dialogues by Farhad – Sajid and Bunty Rathore add spice to the proceedings. Music by Pritam has nothing much to write about. Dudley’s cinematography is good and pleasing.
The Verdict
Laughter is the best medicine and the hilarious All The Best gives you two hours of non-stop laughter. Cheer up your Diwali with All The Best.
