Aishwarya loses Nakshatra to Katrina

Aishwarya Rai has been the brand Ambassador for Nakshatra diamond jewellery from 2004. She appeared on numerous TV Ads, print media and Hoardings. The latest news is the Jewellers dropped Aishwarya and signed on Katrina Kaif as their celebrity for endorsement.

The rumour doing the rounds is that Aish had charged a very high price for extending the contract. Since Nakshatra has already become popular, the Jewellers opted for an unmarried Katrina Kaif, who agreed for lesser remuneration than what Aish demanded.

This is the second time this year that Katrina has overtaken Aishwarya in terms of popularity and endorsements. Earlier, Katrina replaced her as the Bollywood star with the maximum number of downloads and searches on the Internet.

Rubbishing the rumours about Aishwarya Rai losing out the Nakshatra diamond jewellery endorsement to Katrina Kaif, husband Abhishek Bachchan said it was his wife who had said no to an extension of the endorsement contract.
