The Film
Adurs is a regular mainstream story of twins getting separated at the time of birth and growing up with two different families. In the dual role NTR Jr performs well and VV Vinayak has a good screenplay.
The Synopsis
The story unfolds in a hospital where a Brahmin woman gives birth to a dead child and is replaced by a living child, who is one of the twins born to another lady.
Chari (NTR) grows up with the Brahmin family in a village and becomes an assistant to poojari Bhattacharya (Brahmanandam) who takes care of the family of Chandralekha (Nayanatara) who has lost her father. The poojari nurtures the idea of marrying Chandralekha who actually falls in love with Chari.
The other twin Narasimha aka Narsi (NTR) grows up with a single mother in the city and he has the job of robbing the street gangsters and handing over the spoils to a police officer (Shayaji Shinde). He has a romantic angle with the police officer’s daughter (Sheela). He nurtures a dream to join the police force.
Chari comes to know of his twin Narasimha and proceeds to the city in search of him. Meanwhile, a Don (Mahesh Manjrekar) from Kolkata and his henchman (Asish Vidyardhi) are on the look out to trace the family of a leading scientist of the country.
Will Chari and Narasimha meet? Who is their father? Why are the dons searching for the family of the scientist?
Is there any connection with Chari and Narasimha and the scientist? These questions are answered in the rest of the story.
The Performances
Adurs is all the way a complete NTR Jr show and his presence is felt in all the scenes because of his dual role. He did justice to both the roles. He danced well. His comedy is the highlight of this movie. Nayanatara and Sheela fulfill the glamour part of the film. Brahmanadam is very good in his role as the priest.
Asish Vidyardhi and Mahesh Manjrekar as dons are regular. Sayaji Shinde as the police officer is his usual self. MS Narayana and Tanikella Bharani have a good comic act. Nazar does cameo well. All others are adequate.
The Techniques
Though the story follows the beaten track, the incidents and dialogues by Kona Venkat and screenplay and direction of VV Vinayak make the film interesting. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is good and the choreography is an asset. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is vibrant.
The Verdict
Adurs is a mass masala mainstream movie with NTR Jr’s performance and the comedy track as special attractions. This film will be lapped up by the fans of NTR Jr and the regular Tollywood audience will also have enough to entertain them.

One word is enough: “Rubbish”.
Adurs title is not suitable for this movie.but,N.T.R dance was outstanding or not more to say.the comedy between chari and brammi was so enjoyable.this hole credit goes to v.v.vinayak.
superb taking by chota k naidu.chemistry and co-ordination between nayanatara and N.T.R was very rubbish.
i expected this movie better than arya-2 , but it is worst than that movie , waste of my valuable time , tuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
super hit movie
songs very well
for those who wants to relax… the movie was extremely good
superb comedy…
Routine film. Not atleast a single variation to the routine double-hero formula in Indian movies which we have been watching for years. The only entertainment factor is ‘Brahmanandam’. I don’t know why our directors/producers waste this much energy and money on such a crap story. Even though Jr. NTR has performed well in both the roles, there is nothing new to watch. You can easily predict what will happen in the next frame.
