Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots” has grossed a record Rs.100 crore in the first four days. Based on Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller ‘Five Point Someone’, the film has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The distributor of the film Reliance BIG Entertainment released 2,000 prints across 40 countries.
The box office collection of “3 Idiots”, released on December 24, has beaten the initial earnings record of Aamir Khan’s last year blockbuster “Ghajini”, considered Bollywood’s highest grosser to date, with 30% more earnings until December 27.
The film, which is said to have cost Rs.80 crore is already in profit in the first four days. Amit Khanna, Chairman, Reliance Big Entertainment, expects further record breaking collections in the weeks to come.
