Anil Ambani forays into TV entertainment

Anil Ambani’s Reliance ADAG plans to enter the Television broadcasting sector with the proposal to launch twenty television channels to supplement its new entertainment businesses such as the DTH services which the group company Big TV has just launched.

According to Arun Kapoor, CEO of Big TV DTH, Reliance would be coming up with its own channels which will increase its portfolio. He said the plan is to come up with 20 channels of which two or three would be launched by this year end. Another four, five channels would be launched early next year.
